Törggelen – South Tyrol’s most popular culinary experience
Törggelen is one the highlights of autumn in South Tyrol. Traditionally, from the beginning of October until the end of November the young wine of the season was tasted for the first time. At this occasion, all manner of culinary treats from the local peasant cuisine were served to complete the event.

Törggelen has long become a custom that even locals await with great anticipation. At this time of autumn, in South Tyrol's traditional wine restaurants and on its farms the "new" wine of the season is now served with salted meat (Surfleisch), sausages, kraut and South Tyrolean dumplings (Knödel).
