Ice climbing in South Tyrol
Ice climbing is something for the bold and brave. A special challenge on your holiday. We provide ice climbers – and those who want to become ice climbers – with very special settings: the unspoilt Val di Fundres Valley at the opening of the Pusteria Valley in South Tyrol. Here you will find vertical ice pillars and streams turned into ice, ideal for waterfall climbing in South Tyrol.
A certified South Tyrolean mountain guide will show you how to do it before you can get a taste of this new adrenaline sports yourself.
For those who want to try something new on your next winter holiday, please turn to one of the information centres in the Gitschberg Jochtal holiday area – there you will find out about where and when to meet for the weekly waterfall climbing tour.
Warm winter clothes and a backpack, a cap, 2 pairs of gloves, hot tea and non-slip shoes are all you need to take with you – everything else will be provided.
