The three lifts for practising in the village are perfect for beginners. Three more lifts, one of them a modern 8-passengers cable car, will take you to the top of the Jochtal mountain. State-of-the-art snow cannons ensure safety from the top to the bottom of the valley over more than 22 km of slopes.

The Gitschberg ski resort in Maranza

A great day of sun awaits you on your ski holiday on the Gitschberg mountain above Maranza. The ski resort covers a wide area perged between 1,400 and 2,500 metres above sea level. The slopes of the Gitschberg mountain are really special: wide, of manageable size, and with enough space for you to move freely. And all this with a view that reaches as far as the Dolomites. A ride with the 4-passengers' lift takes you directly to the cross on the top of the mountain. From the 360-degree viewing platform you can enjoy breath-taking views of over 500 mountain peaks across South Tyrol, the Dolomites, the Zillertal Alps, the Stubai Alps and the Ötztal Alps. And yet: lift queues hardly exist.

From the beginning of December until after Eastern, nine lifts, over 22 km of perfect slopes, five rustic Alpine lodges and two Apres-Ski bars welcome skiers every year. The Brunner lift in Maranza is equipped with floodlight facilites.
