Marchese Lodovico Antinori is one of the most prominent figures when it comes to winegrowing in Italy. In 1986, he founded the Tenuta dell‘Ornellaia where he produced the world-famous Ornellaia and Masseto wine. In 2001, he decided to sell the Tenuta. But this was not the end of the Lodovico Antinori era. In fact, it was the opposite. He just wanted to fully concentrate on a project he had realised together with his brother, Piero Antinori, back in 2003. He bought a country estate only a few kilometres away from Tenuta dell‘Ornellaia, and founded the Tenuta di Biserno there. It was the first project realised by the two brothers together, and everyone was curious what two such brilliant vintners will make of this estate.
